Career Opportunity: Member Services Director

Rapidly growing, online training company seeks a motivated and experienced Member Services Director to lead, grow and inspire our Member Service Team.


The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, growth-oriented, goal driven and seasoned team manager who is great at both keeping members happy and motivating team members with highly effective communication skills and a strong detail orientation. Experience communicating with lawyers is a plus.

Exceptional candidates will be able to demonstrate their ability to establish rapport with our potential and existing members, who are all lawyers, deliver an effective telephone sales presentation and provide a high level of customer service plus manage a team charged with keeping our customers happy and turning them into raving fans. This is a work from home, virtual position so ability to self-manage, prioritize without losing details for future projects, and quickly pick up online project management and CRM software is a must.

Your daily and weekly responsibilities include:

  • Manage daily duties of virtual member service team, including team members both in the US and overseas;
  • Give sales presentations via the telephone to potential members to promote programs, products and services;
  • Respond to potential member inquiries via telephone and email;
  • Maintain current knowledge of product line, prices, delivery time and various promotions;
  • Manage Member Services Team departmental budget;
  • Track sales and membership activity and prepare reports for Executive Team;
  • Maintain revenue goals for new and retained members;
  • Manage Customer Service Representatives and Admin Support;
  • Manage the membership manager to ensure members and buyers receive everything promised, on-time, and all member expectations are exceeded;
  • Recommend program improvements and oversee product manager to carry out improvements.
  • Document processes, develop systems to streamline and automate member service department deliverables;
  • Write position descriptions for new hires, recruit, recommend new hires and train, manage to standards, evaluate and replace under-performing team members as needed;
  • Step in as needed to get work done when team hits over-flow mode, create and recommend plans to executive team for resolving overflow issues as they arise from time to time;
  • Meet with members of the various departmental teams, including executive team, on a weekly basis to update and discuss projects, processes, metrics and financial targets.

We are seeking a candidate who is confident and motivated to develop new business, with exceptional computer skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. A positive attitude, a deep love of learning, and possessing an entrepreneurial spirit a must! Experience selling, working with Infusionsoft and WordPress a plus!


The Member Services Director will be provided with a steady stream of warm leads, clear revenue goals, and an existing base of members. Compensation is based on performance, with a total annual compensation target (base plus commission) in the $80,000 – $100,000 per year range over the next 3 years.

While this is a virtual work from home position, it is not part-time. You will begin as an independent contractor and – if we all love each other after a 90-day trial period – move into full-time employee role with the company including access to benefits, and one of the most incredible vacation packages you’ll ever see.
